I'm Not A Feminist, But...

...I seriously hope I never meet this chap, or he's going to have to eat his words, teeth, and a knuckle sandwich...

Mantilla twitched in the direction of my favourite Neanderthal, whose attitude to women is actually far less cavemanlike than that of many more liberal types I've encountered... unless those women happen to be the brainless feminazi liberal trendies playing at being stealth-priestesses...!

Calm down, dear. You might have thought for a bit before posting!

You could try sending it to Polly Toynbee and ask for her comments.

Hi! My name's Thomas. I'm from Ireland. I've no idea how to contact blog moderators but I was wondering about mantillas. Where does one buy them these days? (Not for myself, obviously!)

Ttony - my comment was somewhat tongue-in-cheek!

Thomas, check out this post I did on wearing mantillas - there is information in the first comment giving the contact details of the woman who makes mine (very reasonably priced.) Alternatively do a google search as there are some internet sites which sell them...

Great! Thanks! I love the way that the spirit of V2 saw the abandonment of a universal language just as the world went global and succeeded in supressing the most scripturally based Catholic devotion in tandem with the suppression of a Rite/Use/Form that didn't have enough Scripture in it!

You see Mac the Bishops of England and Wales are thinking about how to combat secularism. They are not being rash and womanly like you.

To your knuckle sandwich, I'd add a bonk on the head with a rolling pin! But, oddly enough, it was a bit clever using modern technology to promote ideas long past their "best-before" date!

Thinking of Thomas' enquiry, have you noticed how the guy in the white mantilla looks like EWTN's Fr Mitch Pacwa SJ... well, he issupposed to be a master of disguise, sorry languages.
